Take Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Oracle for example. Oracle chairman Larry Ellison takes any chance to denounce AWS, recently stating that within the Redshift solution, it is not possible to automatically scale up and down. AWS responded that this is factually incorrect, as clusters can be resized at any time.

In the end, it doesn’t matter. What matters is the lack of advocacy for the actual enterprise. Rather than attacking the competitor, cloud vendors should focus on solving real-world challenges that enterprises are facing.
